Raised Hands

I’m so grateful to be writing my first post. I have been involved in ministry most of my life. However, this site will allow me to combine my passion and my professional skills into one conduit to reach others. God gave me this exciting vision and it was not until I was reading in Exodus that I truly SAW how this ministry could strengthen others.

In Exodus Chapter 17, God revealed, once again, that we should not rely on our own strength but on the steadfast strength of our Lord. God had spoken to Moses and revealed to him that although Joshua was on the battlefield fighting, his power and success depended upon Moses’ raised hands. The Bible says that when Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed and when he let down his hands Amalek (the enemy) prevailed. As you can imagine, Moses’ hands became heavy. What did he do? Again, God provided a way. Aaron and Hur sat him down and they lifted his hands for him. They provided the strength needed. The Bible says that “His hands were steady until the going down of the sun”. What a victory that was back then and what victories we have in store for us today when we have others to ‘stay’ our hands. Some of you may relate to Moses with heavy hands and burdens as you address the needs of the children you care for. Some of you may relate to Aaron and Hur and have gifts and strengths you can offer to hold someone else up during the battle. My prayer is that this site become a place we can come to find the strength, the tools, the encouragement, and the resources we need to achieve Daily Victories in the lives of children.
